Synchronized chords

Jamzone shows all the chords you can hear in the song, at the time they are played, for compatible songs (see Available song types).

Activation

To enable the piano diagrams, select "Piano" as the default instrument in your account settings.

Show & Pin in the player

To show or hide a chord diagram, simply tap on its name. Keep in mind that only one diagram can be displayed at a time, unless you pin it.

To persistently display a diagram on the player, you can pin it. To pin or unpin a diagram, tap it with two fingers or make a long press and select "Pin/Unpin diagram". Pinned diagrams have a colored border.

Show & Pin in the Chord Book

To quickly display a comprehensive overview of all the piano chord diagrams present in each song, you can use the chord book.

From the chord book, you can easily pin one diagram onto the media player (with a long press) or multiple diagrams (with the [...] Actions menu). Pinned diagrams will persistently be displayed during playback and will have a colored border.

How to read piano diagrams

The chords displayed in Jamzone reflect the notes heard from the harmonies of all instruments playing at that point in time, rather than a direct reflection of what a single instrument is playing in the mix. These chords are intended to help you and your band play the correct sound, but the exact voicing and interpretation are left up to you.

Note that the diagram only shows one octave to save space. The bass note, generally played by the left hand, is displayed with the piano key in inverted color. The other notes that make up the chord are indicated with dots.
